Our History
Founded in 2001, Suncoast Steel, LLC located in the greater Houston area is a leading distributor of Flat Rolled Steel Coils in the Southwest and Gulf Coast Region. Our commitment to quality and customer relationships has helped us grow into one of the most trusted names in the business.
Flat Rolled Carbon Steel
Hot Rolled Pickled & Oiled:
Pickling is a process of removing scale and rust from Hot Rolled Coil in an acid bath. Oil is applied as a rust preventative.
The steel is continuously ran through a series of rollers as it's stretched, pulled, and either tension leveled or temper passed to enhance shape correction and ensure flatness.
Cold Rolled Coil:
After hot rolling, the steel is pickled, then cooled to room temperature prior to further processing such as annealing, a lite layer of oil, and temper passed.
Significant pressure is applied during the temper stage to further reduce thickness, providing tighter tolerances, and enhance strength.
Hot Dipped Galvanized:
Galvanized coil is pickled and cold reduced before it is coated with a layer of Zinc.

Hot Dipped Galvanized:
